Baby sign language enhances your child's early communication skills, helping you understand each other before they can speak. Nasama offers baby sign language sessions to teach you signs from official sign languages.
What to expect?
These workshops are fun and engaging, using stories, games, and nursery rhymes to create a joyful and interactive learning experience.
Each session lasts about one hour and takes place in a group setting with parents and their children.
The workshops follow a four-session cycle with these themes:
1. Daily life
Learn how to introduce signing at home and discover the first 20 everyday signs.
2. Activites
Play, sing, and enjoy special moments together that will become cherished memories.
3. Environment
Explore signs related to family, surroundings, and animals, perfect for storytelling and songs.
4. Emotions
Help your child express and navigate their emotions.

Why teach signs to a hearing baby?
From around 8 months old, babies naturally use their hands to communicate. They wave "hello" and "goodbye," play peekaboo, and point to things that interest them.
Teaching your baby signs does not mean they are learning sign language. French Sign Language (LSF) is a complete language. Here, we only use selected signs to help your baby:
